Empowering Women Through Breaking Barriers
What Women Empowerment is to Us:
Empowering women is giving them the opportunity to embrace their independence and show their true potential in modern society. Encouraging women to take control of their lives builds their confidence in everyday decision making. Creating an environment where women can embrace their independence socially, economically, financially, and culturally, defies the long-standing barriers that have hindered their potential. Surpassing expectations of a woman’s capacity is empowerment in its rawest form.
The Breaking Barriers Globally (BBG) organization was founded by a high school student named Arnav Patel for youth across the country and across the world who have a similar interest in empowering women in the 21st century. BBG connects with women empowerment clubs from different high schools to lift awareness for our cause. Turning words into action is the goal that drives our desire to make a difference in the lifestyles of misrepresented women. Arnav Patel saw that many education systems were lacking the recognition of women leaders in past history and even today. As a result, he decided to form this organization so that students across the nation realize the importance of women empowerment and work together to facilitate important and necessary changes now and for the generations to come.
